Happy Easter!

April 5, 2015

We celebrated Easter at our house this year. I set the table with some of my thrift shop finds and it was beautiful.

We enjoyed appetizers and played a few games while I was preparing dinner. And, of course, we watched Easter Parade (Fred Astaire and Judy Garland), which is a tradition for me. Since it was supposed to rain (which it didn’t), I decided to roast a couple of chickens instead. Oh my gosh, they were so good! I seasoned the outsides and put a little seasoning inside with a half of lemon and a sprig of rosemary from the plant in my kitchen window. The chicken was moist and filled with flavor. I also had garlic roasted red potatoes, and French bread with a pesto dipping sauce. Mom brought a salad, and Willy treated us with spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

It was a lovely afternoon spent with family.

Hope you had a good one, too!
