Little Cousin, Mariano, and his family invited us to join him to celebrate his 4th birthday. It was a beautiful day at Oak Meadow Park. I came prepared with my “I Love Jack Sparrow” button, my pirate flag, and a picture of my boyfriend, Jack Sparrow! Mariano was very impressed.
Mariano and his guests were pirates for the day! His mom, Hennessey, did a fabulous job with the decorations, food, and special touches. The barbeque chicken pizza is to die for!
There was dressing up like a pirate, digging for treasure, pirate tattoos, a balloon guy, and a piñata! So much fun for the kids… and the adults, too.
Little Alonzo woke from his nap and joined the party, too. Oh, and I just had to stop and take a picture of these beautiful blossoms right there by the picnic area!
The piñata took a little while to bust open, but it was a treasure chest for Polly’s sake. They have to be sturdy!
Birthday cake and cupcakes, the grand finale.
One final act of silliness; I made everyone wear a mustache and take a picture. Boy, they felt weird, and it was very hard to move your lips! Hard to smile even.
Thanks for having us, Mariano! Love ya!’
Have a sunny day!
I’m so glad that you captured this, because I heard the stories from Grandma. Sounds like fun! Wish I could have been there too.
