In a word…. A-Z

April 24, 2014 I ran across an article a while ago that asked readers and staff to describe themselves in one word. It was pretty interesting what they came up with. That would be so hard, but if I had to, I think I would use “quiet”, for a multitude of reasons.

From this, I had an idea. How about coming up with words from A to Z that have some meaning to me? So I got a little notebook to carry around and have been putting words down for each letter as they come to me, or I hear them. So I thought I’d start with A…. a very good place to start! I knew my word right away. Attraversiamo. If you’ve ever seen the movie, Eat, Pray, Love, (or read the book), you will know the word. It means “let’s cross over” in Italian. In the movie, Liz was looking for her “word”. It wasn’t until the end when she discovered she could let go and move on, and start fresh with someone she loved. Atraversiamo, this beautiful word, sits at the back of my mind, and I pull it forward every once in a while. I feel like I have crossed over a bridge of sorts, leaving behind pain and memories, allowing myself to live with purpose and joy. 9781479175758_p0_v1_s260x420 What is your word? What would be your “A” word? Think about it, or share. I’d love to hear from you. Wishing you an Astonishing day! PS. Happy Birthday, Jon! Have a wonderful time in London and in the English countryside!

I love this idea Laura! Maybe I will try it to. And I also love that word and its meaning in “Eat, Pray, Love.” How good it feels to finally cross over and embrace the excitement and opportunities in new beginnings.
