It Rained Last Night!

April 25, 2015 We received some much needed rain last night! Even as I lay in bed early this morning, I could hear the rain pattering on the roof. I knew the morning would be wonderfully fresh. Although I really, really wanted to just relax and stay in bed, I got up and made some banana, oatmeal, nut bread. I found the recipe a couple of weeks ago in a magazine, and it is yummy! So while it was baking, I stepped outside to check out the garden. The air was so fresh. You know the smell, just after a rain. It was actually still drizzling a bit, but I grabbed my camera and snapped a few photos to capture the beauty of the morning. I know by “B” word! Beauty. image_1366921253664005 As I looked around, there was so much beauty to behold. The drops of water on the leaves and on the petals of the flowers. The green of the wet grass. Every living thing in the yard was nodding in gratitude for the rain. The roots and earth were drinking up the precious moisture, and rewarding the world with a splash of color and vibrance.

A rare visitor! A red-headed humming bird. A little blurry, but he was truly gorgeous.

My visit to the garden this morning rejuvenated me, and made me want to share it with you. Enjoy the beauty! Then go out and look for it all around you. Have a Beautiful day! PS. Happy Birhtday, Mom!
