Spring, the perfect time of year to start fresh!

Yes, the perfect time!  In between the rainy days, the sun shines on my face and on my garden.  It is blooming those little hopeful spring blooms like my purple grape hyacinth, a little bit of lavender, a few bright, yellow daffodils, beautiful tiny blue forget-me-nots, and tons of little white daisy-like chrysanthemums scattered around the front garden.  Oh, how they can multiply!  Love it!

Yes, the perfect time!  For change.  In the garden, in the world, and definitely for me.  My job was eliminated at work and my last day was February 17th. I had a couple of months’ notice, and almost a month since, and have been looking and applying for jobs, and doing a lot of thinking.  Thinking, dreaming, planning, gathering courage and gumption, and trying to make decisions.  It’s all in the planning, right?

But how to begin?  All these ideas in my head and in my heart, but where and how to start?  So, dive right in!  I am doing some research and making a list…what to do next, and after that, and after that.

Money.  I need that.  After networking, it looks like I may have a part time job as an admin assistant as an independent contractor.  What is that?  I’m learning.  I meet with a gentleman on Monday to see if it is a good fit for me, and for him.  This is a learning experience that may help me on my new journey.

My passion and need to create and share.  I need that, too, and actually should be number one on my list.  I am going to work this passion into my life.  Things happen for a reason.  It is time to try a more creative and fulfilling, and hopefully, lucrative business plan.

First, I’m back to blogging!  Next, updating my LinkedIn page.  Next, taking my love of thrift shop hunting, and discovering I like to create shabby chic whimsy using small furniture pieces and little treasures.  Next, planning out and calendaring SoulCollage® workshops.  Next, planning out and calendaring other workshops, like journaling, vision boards, fun crafty stuff, etc.  Next, learning how to put up a website…yikes!

As you can see, I have a lot running around in my mind.  And a lot to do.  It just takes time and energy.

For now, I am spending my days cleaning house and purging, purging, purging!  Researching and writing.  Lots of notes.  Lots of ideas. Painting a table and chairs soon.  Painting some shabby.  Planning.  Calendaring.

If you’d like to share how you keep up the energy, keep focused, get motivated, I would love to hear from you.  Encouragement and smiles, are welcome, too 😊.

And ladies, Happy International Women’s Day!  Take time to celebrate you, and being a woman on this amazing planet.

Sounds good.  You have such a great talent putting things together and writing about them.  Hope this all works out.  You really need something to go your way and  make life good for you and those around you.  I can not wait for the next few days of sunshine and warm weather.  We all seem to get things done when the suns out.Love Mom
